Rainbow Restaurant & Pancake House in Algonquin

Best breakfast spot in North Fayetteville. Never had a bad meal. Everything has always been perfect since I was a little kid...now almost 50, Rainbow is still the go to for breakfast.

2years ago wasn’t the last time I dined here! My family often meet here for breakfast and on one occasion I went to the bathroom and as I was walking out to wash my hands an employee walked out of another stall, but instead of washing her hands she put her phone away and walked out! I was grossed out! Never said anything nor did I go back! The food is fine and the service that we always receive was very good. But because of the employee not washing her hands I will never return!

Now they arent able to use their dining area, they will always have great foods and courteous people. Their 99% sanitation rating I'm sure will continue.

Really nice place with an older, hometown feel. All the employees were really nice and attentive. Didn't take long to get our food. I got the sirloin with eggs, potatoes and toast. The toast and potatoes were my favorite. The other food was still okay though. My husband had the steak omelette with grits and a pancake. He really enjoyed it all. Good place to check out. They had really good looking desserts, but it was too early in the day to think about trying them. Lol

Amber was our server and she was superb! Between my kids and I, she kept on it with our drinks and meals. Everything was delicious and by the end, we were stuffed! We will be back. Their staff welcomed us and made us feel like family. Thea and John have an excellent establishment.

Food is usually very good. However, I ordered food to go today and my husband saw the chef touching another customer's food with no gloves. When he said something they just said it wasn't supposed to happen and didn't apologize. With Covid 19 going around it's upsetting that they wouldn't be extra cautious. Bare hands should never touch food. We won't be going back!

Tried chicken salad plate this time. Very good, but didn't choose pickled beets for lack of spices. Best so far@ New York cafe on 301. Otherwise, help wonderful! Chris loved roast beef special, ate every last bite! Still not dissapointed....

The food has changed like everything else but not for the better. Went for breakfast with a friend and was very upset. When I mentioned the prepared food quality I was just blowed off by the wait person and register person/owner. Will never return. Customer satisfaction is nonexistent.

Great family/diner-like restaurant. Atmosphere is nice and very good “home cooked” meals. Excellent variety of choices on the menu from breakfasts to sandwiches/wraps to hot dinner platters. Additionally, efficient and kind staff. The owner and his wife are great people!

It has a "Mom and Pop" atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and engaging. The food is excellent and prices are competitive. Our go to place to eat, after Sunday services. You are greeted with a warm smile and you leave with one as well. They have been in business over 38 years and going strong. What does that tell you?

The people on here are super friendly. I mean every last one of them where smiling, speaking. Just made you wanna be there. I honestly have yet to taste my food but the staff was so great guess I'll have to do two reviews 😁😁

I like to try the biscuits and gravy in nearly any breakfast place I visit, and I did so here, but was unimpressed with the offering. As far as service goes, the place was busy, so apparently popular, but I felt I got lost in the shuffle. After my order was delivered, nobody came back to check on me, and when I was ready to go, I eventually just got up and went to the cashier myself. That may be general practice here, but I'm pretty sure I saw checks delivered to other tables. Additionally, there seemed to be an issue with my card that didn't occur at any other place I've used it. The fact that I was only passing through aside, I doubt I'll visit again when I find myself in Fayetteville for breakfast.

Excellent place for breakfast. Service was great from our wonderful waitress Mary (a fellow Tar Heel fan). The menu offered a large selection of breakfast items. Everything our table ordered was excellent.

The staff were so nice and quick to respond to any needs. The food was superb! Will definitely go back.

The food was great, I went for breakfast on two separate occasions. The only thing that rivals the food is the customer service. I truly enjoyed and will be back.

Been here a few times growing up, but remember it too much. Had lunch with my family the other day and it was excellent. Everyone's food was good, service was speedy, and they have a little bit of everything. I really only give 4 as it is still just a dinner, but it's certainly a place were you will get a solid but maybe not over the tope great meal.

Yummy as always and Maria is a complete delight! We always feel welcome there and the food is great. No room for the beautiful desserts after my omelette, but their purple ombre cake looked fabulous. Maybe next time!
